The awards are usually a big and colourful affair which sees celebs coming out in their numbers to attend the awards for a night filled with glitz and glamour. This year they will be hosted on November 11, 2020. Makhadzi and Master KG are nominated against each other in the Musician Of The Year category.
Also part of the nominations list are Mzansi’s power couple Nomsa Buthelezi and her bae Zandile Buthelezi, who is nominated in the Cutest Couple Of The Year, Olwee and Mamkhize are nominated in the Socialite Of The Year category and Gomora’s star Siphesihle Ndababagged a nod for the Hottest Chick Of The Year.
The Limpopo artists have recently snubbed nominations at the prestigious South African Music Awards. The awards were hosted recently but they received major backlash on social media from the masses, accusing them of allegedly being tribalism.
Makhadzi expressed her disappointment on not being nominated and further congratulated everyone who’s been nominated.
“Congratulations to all SAMAs nominees..so said for not being recognized after what matorokisi did to AFRICANS last year..to all my fans I submitted everything is just that ndinga ndoneta tshinyama.. Your love and support matter.”
“It’s always a good thing to work with him because when me and him collaborate it’s all about talent. He has his own talent and I have mine and we understand each other and everything we touch becomes a hit, and he’s the only producer whom I feel like we understand each other.”
“The only thing I also want and I wish could happen just that it didn’t happen the way I wanted, I only want people to know Makhazi for her performances and music besides my personal issues but because people already knew about my relationship there was nothing I can do but my wish is for them to know about my music only.”
