SAMAs Nods Called Trash As Master KG And Khadzi Are Not Nominated!
The nominees for 26th South African Music Awards (SAMAs) 2020, were finally announced on Thursday, and there were a few snubs!

Leading the pack is Prince Kaybee who bagged 4 nods, however, jaws dropped as interestingly Limpopo’s finest Master KG and Makhadzi were not recognized a single time at the awards, nor were the likes of DJ Tira, and Dj Sithelo.

It seemed a little bizarre to many that some musicians could not amass a single nomination at the awards, but their hit songs kept many South Africans on their feet this past festive season.

Many slammed the SAMAs for not recognizing Master KG, whose hit song Jerusalema was a national anthem in December, and his music video has surpassed 30 million views on YouTube.

They also vented out their frustration on Khadzi’s snub, and said she also deserves a nod. Master KG responded to his snub and congratulated all the nominees and said he will continue to work hard until they recognize him.
EFF’s Flo Shivambu replied to his tweet, and said awards ceremonies are not always recognizing talent and brilliance. He reckons that MasterKG has released so many anthems and very few artists in SA have achieved that, hence he also deserved a nomination.
Tweeps reacted to this drama, and some labelled the SAMA nominations trash and said they must fall!
