Dominating the Record of the Year (ROTY) and Music Video of the Year (MVOTY) categories, Prince has been nominated for his two hit songs Fetch Your Life, featuring Msaki, and Gugulethu, featuring Afro Brothers, Indlovukazi and Supta.
This year sees Amapiano getting the recognition it so highly deserves as well as other genres including Hip/Hop and dance.
Rapper K.O has bagged himself three nominations for his hit songs Say You Will featuring Nandi Madida and Supa Dupa.
Representing Amapiano, two songs that had Mzansi hot on the dancefloor is Labantwana Ama Uber by Semi Tee feat. Miano, Kammu Dee and another is Kokota by Kaygee and Bizizi featuring Killer Kau.
Other nominees include Lady Zamar, Sun-El Musician, AKA, Nasty C, DJ Zinhle, Kwesta, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, Samthing Soweto, Blaq Diamond to name a few.
Social media is however unimpressed as a few favorites were not nominated including Master KG’s smash hit Jerusalema ft Nomcebo and Motorokisi by Makhadzi.
