It appears controversial Uyajola 9/9 host Jub Jub is back with a bang following his suspension. The musician was suspended from the show in December 2021, after TV actress Amanda Du-Pont accused him of rape.

Videos of Uyajola 9/9 behind the scenes have been making the rounds online, and if they are anything to go by, Jub Jub is back. During one of the clips, Jub Jub dodges an angry woman outside a restaurant who appears to have been caught cheating. Jub Jub is arguing with the woman over the bill and she says he must pay for it because of the drama he has caused.

Just recently, SowetanLive, reported that Amanda Du-Pont had opened a case of rape against him at the Braxton police station. According to the paper, Amanda submitted a statement to the police when she opened the case, in which she claimed that Jub Jub had apologized for allegedly raping her.

According to her, Jub Jub apologized for allegedly sexually assaulting her in 2017 after he was released from prison. “I met with him [Maarohanye], and asked him if he knew or acknowledged that he had raped me. He said yes. I asked him why he raped me and all he could say was that he was sorry,” Du-Pont stated in her statement.

Amanda’s lawyer Mabu Marwe confirmed that the actress has opened arape case against the muso. “‘We confirm that our client, Amanda Du-Pont, opened a criminal case for rape against Jub Jub. As you are aware, matters of this nature are in the hands of the police. We would like to give the police some space to do proper investigations.”

Amanda exposed Jub Jub for allegedly raping her after his interview on Podcast And Chill With MacG. Jub Jub left Mzansi shook after saying he ‘smashed’ Amanda Du Pont. The actress went on Instagram live to set the record straight. She accused Jub Jub of raping her for two years and said at the time she was a virgin.

“No, you didn’t smash me, you raped me, you forcibly opened my legs, forced me myself for two years and made me believe that there was no way out. . The most painful part of all of this was that I was a virgin and I told him at the time. I told Jub Jub at the time that I was a virgin and I planned to be a virgin until the time I got married,” claimed Amanda.

In a statement, Jub Jub apologized for the remarks he used during the interview, “It was inappropriate for me to discuss the intimate details of my relationship with Ms Du Pont in public. I deeply regret the incident,”

He further apologized for humiliating Amanda: “I also apologize to my fans and the public for the inappropriate language I used during the interview.” In closing he said : “With regards to the accusations levelled against me by Amanda and others I have decided to make a room for the law to take its course and I request the media and the public to do the same,” he concluded.
