Master KG Is Killing It This Year

Our National treasure and international superstar, Master KG has had a great year despite the world going through the most, he is just one of the few artists who blew up and hasn’t stopped securing bag after bag since. He has had so many achievements this year that we are struggling to even keep up with him.

The producer recently shared two more milestones in his career, first, he is featured at number one on a United Kingdom Top Ten music chart, beating fellow Africans like WizKid, Davido and Burna Boy. Master KG and the Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy have worked on collaboration before and remixed Master KG’s hit song, Jerusalema.

“The advantages of working with him include that he has reached a level I am still working towards, so featuring him will expose me to a lot of people, including his market, which is obviously bigger than mine. People who didn’t know me will get to know me more.”

Master KG also received another nomination from a French music awards company called NRJ, where he was nominated for International Artist of Year, competing with the likes of American superstar Doja Cat and others. Doja Cat, who is the estranged daughter of veteran South African actor Dumisani Dlamini, who claimed on Metro FM that Doja Cats management has restricted him from making contact with his daughter.

Nominations and awards for our humble superstar have just been piling up the whole year, he has been reaching milestone after milestone because of his hit song Jerusalema, which has attracted international and local attention. More than any other song in a long time.

Master KG isn’t about to stop bringing us more hits, after the success of Makhadzi’s album, which he produced it seems the young producer is already setting his sights on making more fire music. Recently, he shared that he is working a song called My Melody with Nox Guni’s a collaboration that has been given mega-hit status by MTV Base. Nox took to his Instagram to deliver the good news along with a snap of the song being played on MTV base.

“My Melody charting the billboards came as a surprise to me because this is the first time to be played on MTV and I think this is good for the whole Zimbabwean music industry now other artists can work harder knowing that it is possible to break new ground. The success story for “My Melody” opens a lot of doors, strengthens my brand image making it now easier for me to work with more bigger artists.”

We wonder what else the hit producer has for us as we head into the festive season soon.
