Who Is Cooper Pabi’s Boyfriend?

Paballo Basetsana Mothapo, aka Cooper Pabi from Soshanguve, is amongst the fastest rising stars of our time and we can’t help but be amazed by how talented she is.

Cooper Pabi has a list of skill sets and talents to her name including musician, dancer, footballer and MC and at 21 years only and a short time in the limelight, she has already gained millions of fans, won awards and performed in countries like Botswana, Namibia and Kenya.

Like many celebrities, Cooper Pabi’s personal and love life are subjects of curiosity and interest from her fans. This article dives a little into the beautiful multi-talented musician’s love life and reveals who Cooper Pabi’s boyfriend is.

According to several sources, Cooper Pabi’s boyfriend is Benny Afroe. Like Cooper Pabi, Benny Afroe is a musician and the two have even worked together on a track called Do It Right.

Benny Afroe, who is a brand ambassador for Nova Men, holds a degree in Music from AFDA and besides singing, he can also play the guitar, bass guitar, and the piano.

Born into a musical family (his father is a bass guitarist)  Benny Riba, aka Benny Afroe began nurturing his musical abilities at a young age. When he was only ten years old, Benny Afroe started attending music classes and by the time he was 13 he was producing music.

It is not clear where and when Cooper Pabi and Benny Afroe first met and when they started dating but there is reason to believe that they officially started dating in late 2021 after the two started sharing intimate pictures of them spending time together.

A couple of months after Benny Afroe and Cooper Pabi’s became an item, rumours spread that they had broken up. 

The rumours of the breakup were stirred by Cooper Pabi’s shared a Tik Tok video of a woman talking about how men are toxic. Cooper Pabi posted a series of Instastories where she said things like “I’m glad you left me because I wouldn’t have left you”, and “You broke our bond, not me.” She also reportedly deleted her picture with him on her Instagram account.

As expected, social media police did their analysis and concluded that Benny Afroe had broken up with Cooper Pabi and she was no longer her boyfriend.

We cannot be sure whether they really did break up and got back together or whether it had all been one big publicity stunt but a few days to Valentines’ day, the two revealed that they had been working on a new single together. 

Their hit song Do It Right was released on 11th February and while promoting it, they also shared some cute photos and videos of them together hinting that they were still together and don’t we all just love to see a young celebrity couple thriving?

Before being linked to Benny Afroe, Cooper Pabi’s boyfriend was widely believed to be Amapiano star- Reece Madlisa.

Reece Madlisa and Cooper Pabi alongside Busta 929 and Joocy worked together on Cooper Pabi’s debut single Isiphithiphithi which received more than a million views on Youtube less than two weeks after its release.

Shortly after the release of Isiphithiphithi, rumours emerged that Reece Madlisa and Cooper Pabi were dating- a rumour that they both did not address.
