Riky Rick Back With Another Hit

Fans of Riky Rick are super excited. Why? The official music video to the tune ‘V.S.O.P.’ went online a few days ago.

 

The track is as smooth as ice and stars Mr. JazziQ and Busta 929. The new Amapiano song was taken from the upcoming studio project ‘Maba Jabuliabantu’. For the uninitiated – Amapiano is a beautiful style of house music that grew popular just 8 years ago in South Africa. It’s a mix of deep house, jazz, and lounge music. This sound can be recognized by its artful use of synths, airy pads, and wide basslines. It’s a popular genre that has many celebrities releasing music.

 

V.S.O.P also features Reece Madlisa, Zuma, Mpura, 9umba, and Riky Rick, giving fiery support. The track was actually released just a few months ago. It had garnered almost a million views on Youtube. The new video was released just a couple of days back and has already amassed 145,000 views on Youtube alone.

 

 

This isn’t the first time JazziQ, and Busta 929 have collaborated with Reece Madlisa and Zuma. The four have previously worked together on another Amapiano jam called Sithi Sithi. This time around, Mpura and Riky Rick have joined them on this jazzy song.

 

Riky Rick has been collaborating on a lot of tracks lately. This year itself he collaborated with South African TV personality, actress, and rapper Boity Thulo on her EP 4436. Another track he had collaborated on came out on Youtube just 2 weeks ago. We’re talking about Costa Titch’s track Areyeng, which already has 206,222 views. 

 

One of Ricky’s hottest projects this year has to be ‘Imali Eningi’, a pop song by Big Zulu. He shares collab credits with Intaba Yase Dubai on this one. It was released on November 24th and has more than 4 million views online. 

Success isn’t new to Riky. He’s known as a hit-making artist, with many popular songs under his belt. Since his rise to fame in 2014, he has been consistently making popular songs. The talented South African rapper is also a songwriter, singer, composer, actor entrepreneur, and fashion designer. He’s also the founder and owner of the record label “Cotton Club Records”.

 

His first album, ‘Family Values’, was released in 2015 and has gone platinum since then. Fans are waiting in anticipation for the next banger from the talented artist. His last solo release was a mixtape called ‘Fear the Hunter in 2018’. We’re hoping he keeps releasing awesome new tracks. We’re looking forward to some solo projects, too.
