Breakups often suck, even when they are mutual and amicable. You know the “we have to go our separate ways because we are incompatible” kind of thing?

Well, it hurts even worse when you get dumped out of nowhere by someone you thought you had a future with. But we don’t have to tell you; you already know.

Well, these are some ZAlebs who suffered the most public incidents of being dumped.

Kelly Khumalo

The Empini crooner has faced a lot of backlash over her relationship with the late Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa. But we haven’t forgotten that he put her through a rough breakup.

The two dated while Senzo was still with his wife Mandisa Mkhize, and their relationship attracted a lot of public scrutiny. But the footballer eventually left Kelly high and dry, while pregnant with their daughter, and returned to his wife.

Zodwa Wabantu

Although she has gone on to find love with someone new, Zodwa‘s previous relationship ended in tears when her much younger lover, Vusi Buthelezi walked out on her.

Sharing an emotional explanation, she said he had left her without offering any reason. She stayed in love with him for a while after their breakup, and even spoke of trying to win him back. Enhle Mbali

Black Coffee and Enhle Mbali had one of the most toxic relationships we have seen in Mzansi, and that’s saying a lot, because there have been several. Black Coffee was accused of infidelity in their marriage, and she even said that he was physically violent towards her on multiple occasions.

But perhaps one of the most shocking facts about their relationship is that Black Coffee dumped Enhle in an email. Ouch! He spoke openly about sending her an email in which he asked her to find somewhere to live with the kids, then offered to pay for it.

Naturally, social media blew up in anger over his admissions. I mean, can you imagine being abused and cheated on (allegedly) only to be dumped by email? Rough! The two then entered one of the most exhausting court battles, and it’s all a little much, frankly.

Lebo Gunguluza

Businessman Lebo Gunguluza was married to The Real Housewives of Johannesburg star of the same name – Lebo. But the actress Lebo ‘Jojo’ confirmed that she was leaving her husband and changing back to her maiden name- Mokoena.

The two were married for two years before reports emerged that the actress would be dumping her husband, who is now twice divorced. However, the two chose to keep things civil and are coparenting their son.

Zahara

Singer Zahara‘s boyfriend Umhlobo Wenene DJ Amaza Ntshanga dumped her in 2017, even after they were engaged. Allegedly, the long distance between them strained their relationship.

Additionally, Amaza felt that Zahara would drown in the bottle in the midst of her alcohol addiction rumours, and he wanted to move her to Johannesburg. But Zahara felt like Amaza did not take her singing career seriously. Either way, the DJ ultimately dumped Zahara, and just recently was reported to have started a family with someone else.
