Rasta’s Joseph Shabalala Painting Worth R150 000
Lebani Sirenje, famously known as Rasta could sell his much talked about painting of legendary Joseph Shabalala at a whopping R150 000.

Initially the artist wanted to gift the Shabalala family with the painting however was advised to rather showcase it at an exhibition and possibly make money.

The special exhibition is part of the philanthropy work the late musician engaged on. The proceeds acquired from the exhibition will go to the Joseph Shabalala Foundation. It provides funding to several community outreach projects.

The idea of this exhibition was welcomed by the family to welcome artists like Rasta who all they wanted to do was allow their work to be showcased and honour the star.

A family representative Xolani Majozi said that they received requests from artists to allow them to showcase their work. “The exhibition came after we got several requests from painters and artists who wanted to honour baba Shabalala. So we decided to put a showcase together to raise funds and benefit the artists,” Xolani said

With the price stamp being extremely high, and people commending him on the way he has worked on.
