Media personality, Penny Lebyane, has had enough of Pearl Thusi and Lerato Moloi being vilified in the Toll Ass Mo saga, as she believes that tweeps should be standing with them, and not against them. In a Twitter thread which was shared on Sunday, 23 August 2020, the radio host stood up for Lerato, who had accused Toll Ass Mo of assault, and Pearl Thusi, for going ahead with an interview with him for her show, Behind The Story.
Penny stated, “Don’t weaponise (use women against each other @leratommoloi and @PearlThusi to make ur point. #LeratoMoloi is a victim, #Pearl is an #activist in her own right”. She asked that tweeps target their anger towards the greater cause, which is Gender Based Violence, and call our Toll Ass Mo for his role as the perpetrator.
Amidst the drama, Pearl privatised her Twitter account, keeping haters out of her business for the time being.
