But this time the Idols SA presenter put some serious thought about not only his style, but his safety into his outfit he wore to the DSTV Mzansi Choice Awards over the weekend.
The Metro FM presenter turned heads in his elaborate ensemble (which we already expected) but it was the attention to detail that had us stanning.
Somizi rocked up to the awards in a face mask – a beddazzled one at that – in an effort to protect him from the dreaded coronavirus, which has seen at present 61 people infected in Mzansi.
To top that off, Somizi donned an OTT hat, which by all means kept fans and friends at bay – and adhered to the all important 1 metre rule, also known as ‘social distancing’.
Another celeb to wear a face mask was Real Housewives Of Jozi star Lethabo Mathatho, although we’re not entirely sure how safe it was given it was more bling than anything else.
A couple thousand kilometres away in Nigeria, Big Brother star Omashola also rocked up in a Cory V inspired look at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards which also took place over the weekend.
And then there was Lasizwe who refused to catch any germs when he when popped out his hand sanitizer from his designer bag!
Is Cory V inspired fashion officially a thing now?
