Is it just us or do soapies tend to take their actors for granted at times?
According to Sunday Sun, Muvhango actors did not receive their January salaries! As you might know, this is not the first time the actors are finding themselves in such a problem. Last year, several actors from the popular SABC 2 soapie made headlines after complaining about not getting paid on time.
And who can forget that infamous Generations strike that resulted in 16 actors losing their jobss?
It seems like money disputes are becoming a norm at the SABC. We’re just wondering if the public broadcaster hasn’t learnt anything after that Generations scandal. If this sort of behaviour carries on, Muvhango might find itself in a really sticky situation. The soapie is doing quite well at the moment and we’re certain they’d like to keep it that way.
Here’s a word of advice from us, guys: Stop taking your actors for granted!
