Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chief’s footballer Itumeleng Khune, is no stranger to hogging tabloids headlines for his controversial and complicated love triangles.
The footballer had some rocky love triangles this year again. Khune has been previously romantically linked with fitness bunny Sbahle Mpisane and television personality Minnie Dlamini before their failed romance.
Khune received public backlash after his fallout with Sbahle who was involved in a horrific car crash. The footballer wasted no time to move on, and recently found love in the arms of a model, Sphelele Makhunga.
The pair became the talk of the town early this week year when Sphelele took to Instagram to share a snap of her looking ready for her makoti duties. In the snapshot, she was seen wearing a doek up to her forehead and small tartan blanket – which in African tradition is a sign of respect for a bride.
The snap was captioned, ’16.11.2019 Thank You Itumeleng Khune .’ which mentioned the date Khune paid Lobola for her. Itumeleng then commented on the picture with ‘My wifey bear.’
The pair, who have been dating for several months, had their social media time lines flooded with congratulatory messages for their Lobola negotiations.
Khune also posted a picture of him touching his girlfriend’s belly. Many tweeps suggested that the loved-up couple are about to become parents. The have a baby girl now.
The couple had social media in tizz at the beginning of their relationship. This is after a video of Itumeleng and Sphelele went viral on social media and Itumeleng was accused of allegedly snatching Sphelele from DJ Tira’s son Junior Khathi. The model was romantically linked to DJ Tira’s son, Tweeps accused Itumeleng of being a predator and dating a child. But he’s was bothered at all.
