Rumours of an Isibaya audition taking place soon have been running amok on social media and in the industry. Although it was unclear if the rumours were true, ZAlebs enquired about the auditions.
Mzansi Magic’s PR & EG Assistant Emmah Ngomane released a statement confirming that Isibaya does hold auditions but they are not open castings.
“Please note that Isibaya holds auditions every year in Durban in order to discover talent. They have done so since the soapie began, and have over the years discovered the likes of Jessica Nkosi, Andile Gumbi and Nomzamo Mbatha, just to name a few. This year, they are going to do the same. However, kindly note that these are not open castings, therefore we cannot disclose the audition dates and venues,” read the statement.
