Happiness was the order of the day as Mzansi’s controversial goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune and his wife Sphelele Makhunga prepared to welcome their bundle of joy by throwing a beautiful baby shower.
Khune, who is no stranger to hogging tabloid headlines for his controversial and complicated love triangles, has been with Sphelele for several months now. To mark their romance and to show how ready they are to welcome their first child when they threw a wonderful event with friends and family present.
The baby shower was themed white with a touch of pink, which was a big hint to everybody that the lovebirds are expecting a baby girl. They posted a snap of themselves sitting on a couch with balloons everywhere, and gold trimmings on the tables. Later they got down and dirty at a party where mama bear was seen dancing.
The lovebirds fuelled pregnancy and wedding rumors last year after Sphelele shared a snap of herself cloaked in red material while cradling her growing baby bump on Christmas.
The cat was finally let out of the bag that Khune had paid Lobola for her. Their relationship has been marred by controversy since 2019 after Khune went public with their romance, only a few months after professing his love to ex-girlfriend Sbahle Mpisane who was still in recovery following a near-fatal car accident.
Fans flooded their social media with congratulatory messages.
