She’s probably one of the most sought-after house vocalists in South African music at the moment.
Her hit single – Ubala has been heating up the dance floors and rotating on the radio airwaves for weeks on end.
The 24-year-old has really taken the music industry by surprise and we’re really not complaining at all!
Thanks to Sun El Musician, we’ve also had the pleasure of hearing her music on Sun El song’s like Sonini and Ntaba Ezikude.
In an interview with Isolezwe, Simmy explained that she met Sun El Musician at UKZN where she was studying a Bachelor of Social Science Government Business & Ethics. The two artists had briefly spoken, but Simmy knew that in order to be successful in her music career, she had to first focus on her studies.
She further explained to Isolezwe that when she then left home for Joburg, that was when she knew that she was going to embark on her education.
And ever since the rest of the country discovered and appreciated her music, she’s been doing gig after gig and getting invited to every other TV interview.
Simmy just needs to drop an album already, the country and the whole of Africa and the rest of the world needs!
