Carolyn Steyn - Diamond Ball

When we saw our Instagram timeline filled with pics from last night's Diamond Ball held at The Saxon Hotel, we couldn't help but wonder if our invite got lost in the mail?

Maybe the publicity team at Jarred Doyle Consulting didn't deem us worthy of that much prestige...

The event looked suave and sophisticated with only a handful of very important people in attendance and an even a smaller contingent of celebrity guests.

Khanyi Mbau, Sophie Ndaba, Mo-T and Chris Jaftha were amongst the rich and fabulous guests of philanthropist and businesswoman, Carolyn Steyn. In case you did not know, Carolyn is one of the owners of The Saxon and even Steyn City.

Yes, she owns a whole city!

In case it hasn't clicked yet, Steyn City is where Anele Mdoda films every episode of Real Talk on 3 (if she's not living out our dreams in New York) and it is also where Tbo Touch's Touch Central is located. Leyvels!

Carolyn also spear-heads the 67 Blankets campaign which started out as a Madiba day intitative three years ago and has since grown into something that helps people beyond Madiba Day. This year, Carolyn hopes to help keep South Africa's most vulnerable people warn through this initative.

Anyway, Khanyi slayed in a black avant-garde Keys Fashion gown, while Tshego Seakgoe looked very suitable for the "ball" in Miss Boss Couture - this girl is slowly making moves in the Entertainment industry.

Sophie Ndaba looked less-than-elegant in a sheer top and black pants topped with a faux-fur jacket. Eish

Micasa's Mo-T looked cool, but he needs to step it up and get his looks tailored. Maybe her should ask Chris Jaftha who always looks fantastic!

Bonang didn't crack and invite, but her sister Rambi Sechoaro did... And didn't she look great?!

South African based multinational brewing and beverage company, Distell along with PR and Management company, Jarred Doyle Consulting and Inception Diamonds were the evening's main sponsors for the event.

If you want an invite in the future, we suggest you research them and cozy up to them. We're not making any promises though, we had to watch this unfold on Instagram...

Other attendees on the night include, Aseema Kazi, who looked Diamond-ball worthy...

And Ashleigh Ogle, who might have confused a ball for a business meeting.
