Boity Thulo’s mom, Modiehi Thulo has opened up about a very tragic episode in her life. The 49-year-old recently took to Twitter and shared some details of her sexual assault experience at her former place of employment.
The month of September has seen quite a wave of women reveal some of the most shocking and heartbreaking stories regarding the various abuse that they have endured at the hands of their perpetrators (mostly men).
Modiehi Thulo is one such woman that has spoken up against sexual abuse in the workplace.
She revealed that a HR manager at her previous job came on to her inappropriately. Hoping to find solace and support from the company’s CEO, he too made sexually fueled remarks on Modiehi after escalating the sensitive matter to him.
What followed was a resignation from Modiehi’s end. She went on to share that she subsequently lost everything thereafter.

As indicated above, September has seen a large number of women in South Africa riled up about the scourge of women abuse and killings.
The death of University of Cape Town (UCT) first year student, Uyinene Mrwetyana, in particular, prompted a strong reaction . Many have forged protests with the hopes of showing that these violent killings and abuse on women is totally uncalled for.
