South African Kwaito lovers have been rocked this morning following the news that Kwaito legend, Les Ma-Ada, has sadly passed away after being sick. The hitmaker made his name as part of the popular Kwaito group, Alaska.
The Kwaito quintet consists of LuckyMlakana, Thabo Tsotetsi, Andrew Moloisane, SphiwePicat and , Les Ma-ada.
The exact cause of Les Ma-Ada’s death has not been immediately identified, despite the reports of sickness. It is news that has taken the country by surprise and fans of Kwaito music in general are expressing their sincerest condolences towards the star’s family.
Alaska originates from the dusty streets of Soweto was first noticed by Oscar “Oskido”Mdlongwa.
The band has been around the Kwaito industry for more than a decade and their music still caters to everyone. The loss of Les Ma-Ada will have a massive effect on the members and everybody at ZAlebs would like to express their deepest condolences to the group as well as Les Ma-Ada’s family.
