Since her acting role on Lock Down, we’ve come to seriously take notice of Zola Nombona’s impressive acting and as for Siyabonga Twala, he needs no introduction. His role on Isibaya speaks for itself.
The thought of seeing these two performing together on stage is good enough for us to fork out our money and go watch them live.
Twala and Nombona have officially been cast as husband and wife in the renowned play known as The Suit which tells the story of Philemon, a man who discovers his wife Matilda in bed with a lover. The man flees, leaving his suit behind.
The suit is then used a to serve as a physical reminder of Philemon (Siya) and Matilda’s (Zola) dead relationship and the woman’s infidelity plus the husband’s cold-hearted revenge.
Singer, Donald referenced The Suit’s story line in his single, What Goes Around Comes Around featuring Prince Kaybee.
According to Artslink, The Suit will be showcased in Newtown from 5-28 May at the Market Theatre.
