City Press reported in June that Zahara was on the verge of losing her 1.9 million rand house. Nedbank threatened to put it on auction to the highest bidder for defaulting on her R17 665, 40 monthly installments.
According to Daily Sun, the Loliwe hitmaker even went as far as reaching out to Kaizer Chiefs because she believed they could help her with her financial woes. She wanted assistance with hosting a three-hour concert for her fans in order to raise funds for her family and herself.
“I want to approach Kaizer Chiefs to help me. I promise to do great. I just want to have a concert, not just for me but my fans and family too,” she told the publication.
“I want to plead with Chiefs and Kaizer Motaung when they have their next match. I don’t want to do much. I just want to sing my heart out. I can do a three-hour show. All I’m asking for is the sound equipment, stadium and ambulances as well as other things,” she added.
Good Samaritans helped Zahara to save her home following donations. Taking to Facebook, Zahara expressed her gratitude to her fans for supporting her and helping her keep her home.
“Thank you to each and every individual who donated and helped out, your contributions were very helpful.. Nenze njalo nakwabanye. The auction that was scheduled tomorrow is canceled. Thank you for your donations and prayers,” she captioned the post.
