South African media personality, Somizi Mhlongo, is adding another feather to his cap, by releasing a new cook book, ahead of the festive season. Dinner At Somizi’s, the obvious title of the book, is said to be releasing in November 2020, and will be self-published by the all-rounder. In an Instagram post on Thursday, 10 September 2020, he stated, “THE HARD WORK BEGINS TODAY… ITS BEEN MONTHS OF PREPS…..MY NEW BABY (COOK BOOK) WILL BORN END OF NOVEMBER…. FOR FESTIVE… SELF PUBLISHED….WHO IS READY TO BUY A COPY……more info for pre orders to follow soon.”

The post suggested that Somizi had just been given the go-ahead to start developing the book, and is expecting his culinary creation to be completed in merely two months. The self-proclaimed chef also shared a video which showcased some of the recipes expected to be included in the cook book.
The starters are expected to include; Chicken Feet/Neck Fry, Chicken Heart Mini Pita, Pork Trotters Tacos, Chicken Gizzards Wrap and Finger Slapping Lamb Trotters Bites. For mains, recipes will be provided for; Spice Duck and Fried Rice, Curried Liver and Cabbage, Pork Trotters and Hard Body, Creamy Chicken Stuffed Bread and Turmeric Roasted Deboned Chicken.
Somizi’s culinary skills were spotlighted on his 1 Magic’s Dinner At Somizi’s which sees him hosting many of his celebrity friends, as they talk about all that is currently going on in their lives. The new cook book will take on the same title as his already popular TV show.
