The media personality will be having treasured conversations with his guests on his own talk show which will air on 1Magic.
Somizi did say he is back with a glittering bang and he was not lying. This was after he returned to Idols SA as a judge after being given the boot a year ago for the abuse allegations.
“We’re excited to have Idols SA return for an incredible 18th season. To have such longevity in such a fast-changing industry is no small feat, and we’re proud to keep giving our viewers what they love. One of the key components in having staying power is evolution, and our new-look panel is part of that,” says Nomsa Philiso, Executive Head of Programming: General Entertainment.
“One thing I promised myself and my supporters on my return to @idolssa is that I’m bring my heart soul and everything…. attention to every freaken detail….taking my place and space…rightfully so….coz your prayers can not go to waste….shaming the devil….giving my all….your in for a ride…because SOMIZI is back with a glittering BANG,” he promised.
Somizi once admitted that he has been troubled with suicidal thoughts but he had to overcome them, “The belief system in my current situation and in most people’s current situation is the belief system of attaching themselves to worldly things; attaching themselves to people’s opinions, attaching themselves to wanting to look successful, beautiful, rich, great, happy. And that attachment is the most dangerous thing,” he said.
“Today I am speaking for myself. I’ve also attached myself to what you think about me: what if I lose my cars, what if I lose my house, what if I’m broke again? I am releasing myself from that. If something has to die today it is not me; it is the belief system that I am because of all those things,” he continued.
