This week’s episodes consisted of something viewers have not seen with local TV productions – and that is fire s*x scenes. Season 2 of The Wife focuses on Nkosana and Zandile, played by Mondli Makhoba and Khanyi Mbau, and their love story.
When it first started out, we saw the chemistry between Zandile and Nkosana and the way he talks to her which is very warm and loving. Just how Khanyi Mbau envisioned.
The love is still there but viewers are still unimpressed with the storyline, seeing how Khanyi’s former prison buddies are looking to shake things up.
One thing which stood out though is the bedroom scene between Nkosana and Zandile which raised the bar, because no other local production had attempted to give viewers such R-Rated content.

Although the series only releases 3 episodes weekly, viewers are still promised some more fire content as the weeks go by. Their disappointments were heard by Khanyi Mbau who said she shares the same sentiments as the viewers, “I think let’s address this issue! CAUSE I SEE IT TOO!!”
“We have let you down, we have not given you what you wanted , what you had anticipated! a love story between Zandile and Nkosana. That’s what we all hoped to experience.”
Khanyi said Nkosana and Zandile were supposed to tell a love story, but the story took a completely different turn. “The Wife Showmax has become more of a crime drama series on a lot of prison scenes , people going missing.. hate and mystery instead of a warm , sexy story about a man a woman who should be in love.”
Khanyi then said viewers are well on point for complaining because she too can see the disaster, “None the less thank you for sticking it out with us.. and staying loyal to the show and the platform. Your views mean so much to me as an actress and performer.. but u are not going crazy I FEEL YOU.”
