Lebo Mathosa Honoured On Her Birthday

Today we are remembering the queen of pop Lebo Mathosa who passed on 2006 in a car crash when she was just 29.

Today, Lebo was honoured with a limited T-shirt collection that is a collaboration between emerging fashion designer Tshediso Mokoko and renowned photojournalist Neo Ntsoma.

Speaking to Sunday World, Tshediso said, “This collaboration was created at the end of 2019 but we were trying to figure out the best way to do it because of the restrictions caused by the pandemic. So, we got in touch with her family to ask for their blessings, so we continued on her legacy”.

Speaking on behalf of the Lebo Mathosa Foundation, Mathosa’s nephew Tebogo said they were excited about the concept.

“It’s a great initiative, after all it’s been a while since she has been gone. I agreed for the project to proceed because as a family and foundation, we feel that she left a huge legacy with us and we have to continue with it. We look forward to working with Monday to Monday on other things.”
