Gomora team bid farewell to season one of the telenovela yesterday. Last year Mzansi Magic Introduced viewers to Gomora, a telenovela that showcases the hardships and situations of Alexandra township people, over 200 episodes later the show is still one of the best telenovelas on Mzansi Magic.

Actress and Singer Thembi Seete who plays the role of Gladys Dlamini on the show shared cute snaps of the team on Instagram yesterday as they were celebrating and saying goodbye to the first season.
She wrote: “Big thank you, love, hugs, and kisses to everyone who watched and supported #Gomora Season 1 your support and love mean a whole lot to us cast and crew…Thank you so much, guys. Today we are saying goodbye to Gomora season 1. I had so much fun, it’s hard for me to except that it’s the end of season 1.”

Earlier this month the show’s producer Lulu Hela announced that the show has been renewed for the second season.
She tweeted: “Our passion project Gomora has been renewed for season 2! Grateful for another opportunity to tell these amazing stories. Grateful to our talented and hardworking cast and crew for their commitment to creating magic every single day. Grateful to the Almighty God for giving us the wisdom, tenacity, and strength to produce a project of this magnitude.! Grateful to the team at Mzansi Magic for this collaboration. Grateful to our fans and supporters, thank you for loving our show as much as we do!! Here’s to Season 2!!!”
Mzansi Magic also posted about renewing the telenovela for another season, telling fans to get ready for more drama and an emotional rollercoaster of a new season. The channel has also shared several promos for season two on social media featuring Gomora cast members.
Season 2 will start next week Monday on the 26th of April 2021. Viewers are already excited and looking forward to the next season of the telenovela. Expressing the excitement on Twitter, @Shezisello said: “260 episodes. Some shot through covid. Congrats guys. You gave us so much reason for 7 30. Thank you all. So much talent!
