Legendary actress Ferry Jele has been holding a different hat on the award-winning drama series, that of director and her efforts of bringing the vision together has not gone unnoticed.
Ferry on The River currently portrays the role of the forever scheming Vero, who is back on screens and back to her usual ways and whilst her portrayal of Vero goes without applause but her directing has taken centre stage.
Several episodes have had Ferry’s name pop up as director and it’s been some heavy episodes, ones that have seen Ragadi and Malume Ntsizwa relationship explored and they haven’t been easy episodes but Ferry’s direction seems to have created magic.
Many including Cassper Nyovest and Fikile Mbalula praised the actress for her stellar work on Twitter, which she was grateful for as the praise bought her joy.
Should more actors sit on the director’s chair in future?
