Emtee Admits AKA Launched His Music Career
Rapper Emtee has admitted that the late AKA’s was the only person who gave his career a boost when nobody believed in him. Even after his biggest song that launched his career ‘Roll Up‘, Emtee admits it wasn’t after the remix with AKA that put him on a pedestal.

While tributes and condolences messages are still pouring in for the Forbes family. Scores of musicians, creatives and artists continues to share some of the memorable moments they have hared with the slain, Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes.

Rapper Emtee is the last and certainly not the least to take to social media as he admits that AKA played a huge role in his music career when he was still starting. Back in 2015, Emtee released a hit song ‘Roll Up’ which instantly became a national anthem.

However, even with Roll Up under his belt, his name did not carry too much weight until he collaborated with AKA for a ‘Roll Up’ remix. Emtee admits artists did not want to work with him because he was still starting up and poor.

However, AKA looked beyond the surface and saw his raw talent that needed to be explored. Subsequently after the collaboration with AKA, Emtee became a   household brand and his name was launched forever. 

“Everybody looked down on me cos I was poor till I got AKA on a song” wrote Emtee

Fans who have witnessed Emtee’s career blossoming over the years could not agree more that it was actually AKA who gave him a leg up in his career. In a cut throat industry where it is every man for himself. Scores of tweeps have truly given AKA his flowers for thriving to succeed with other artists and not just himself alone.

“And just look at what that one song alone did for your career.” wrote Stitch

“He adored you, like he had so much love for you. I am so sorry for your loss and I wish you strength, peace, love and a lot of success.” wrote Luya brownie

“AKA had that ear to forsee talent Look what we have now” wrote The Saga Continued

Emtee is also living in fear as recently he admitted that he has been receiving death threats. The rapper is looking forward to beef up his security as the threats are claiming that he is next after DJ Sumbody’s murder.

Emtee says for the last two years he has been living in fear from the death threats. However, they are more alarming now following the recent passing of DJ Sumbody.

“Yes for 2 years now. Apparently I’m next” wrote Emtee
