Bonang recently returned to social media after a hiatus. The award-winning TV personality embroiled in a nasty legal battle over the ownership of her sparkling wine brand, House Of BNG.
In a series of Tweets Bonang recently broke her silence about the legal battle. She took to her Twitter account and dragged Executive Director of CSA Global, Davin Philips for filth. Bonang lashed out at him for putting her family through hell for two years and said enough is enough!
“One thing I WILL do, is stand up for myself!!! PUBLICLY!! Iāve had ENOUGH!! Youāve put me and my family through HELL the last 2 years!! And clearly being decent behind closed doors, isnāt the language you understand ANYMORE!!! Iām going to FIGHT!! Watch me!!”
Bonang further accused Davin of allegedly stealing from black creatives “You steal from black creatives!! Iām not the 1st one!! A quick Google search is all one needsā¦It ends TODAY!! @DavinPhillips. *Let the music play*”
She even accused him of sabotaging her radio career. Responding to Matheba CSA sent out a statement to The South African, saying Bonang is trying to ‘manipulate the facts’, āThese rants and raves by Ms. Matheba are very unfortunate and tarnish her own dignity and reputation. They are also another attempt by Ms. Matheba to distort and manipulate facts. To be clear, Ms. Matheba joined CSA in 2017 and the House of BNG was launched in 2019.
āMs. Matheba is currently in breach of multiple contracts with various clients. The matter is currently with our lawyers and her breaches of contract will be decided upon by an arbitrator.”
Bonang had stated in an interview with Drum magazine that said the House of BNG is her brand, her heart and soul, and she will continue to fight for it, āThere was and still is a huge legal battle around BNG that is still ongoing. I canāt say too much because the matter is sub judice. But BNG is here, doing well. It is my brand; my heart and soul and we are launching something major. There will come a time when I will explain what exactly happened to me and people need to learn from it. Itās a lesson I learned and itās a mistake that anyone can make and because we trust people, we end up in complicated situations,ā she told the paper.
