Thandiswa Mazwai Surviving On Recording Budget During Lockdown
The lockdown has meant that many artists have lost live gig income and the sad reality is that most gigs will probably only start next year.

Award-winning artist Thandiswa Mazwai responded to a fan who let her know she was craving a smallanyana virtual concert.

During the lockdown, virtual concerts have become the new normal with many of Mzansi’s favourite turning the online world to keep their fans entertained.
King Tha let the fan know that the thought of a concert with no live audience makes her sad but that’s the new normal and her fans should tag her sponsors in the comments.

Whilst virtual concerts are great, money also needs to be made.
Thandiswa explained to her fans that due to the loss of live gigs many artists are going to lose everything.

The Ingoma hitmaker explained that she was managing to survive because she was living on her recording budget and if her fans don’t get an album soon that is why.
