Actor Sicelo Buthelezi responded to a post on Twitter claiming the Mzansi Magic’s Gomora star was turning 40 this year.
Sicelo responded to Twitter user Chris Excel who posted, “So Teddy from Gomora is turning 40 years this year.”

Fans immediately reacted to Chris’s post with shock and others saying Sicelo must be taking good care of himself. This is what they were commenting.

His fans asked him how old he was. He did not respond but according to Stlyeyou7, Teddy as we know him from his role in Gomora was born in March 1985, meaning he will turn 37- years-old this year 2022.
Many might be confused because when you look at him you would swear he is a teenager. Adding to this confusion is his role. In the telenovela he plays a role of a teenage boy who is still attending school. Teddy is according to a soap turning 19 this year and Sicelo will turn 37. Viewers are still surprised at how young the actor looks and that he could pass off as a teenager in real life.

Seekay as he is called by many was introduced to us in 2020 when the telenovela started. We can say he is one of the lead actors who always manages to cheer and steals hearts of the viewers in each episode. Even though currently viewers do not like him much because of his behaviour towards on screen mother Zodwa played by Sannah Mchunu. Lately Teddy has been behaving like a spoilt brat. Teddy seems to be taking everyone’s side except of his mother.
According Sicelo’s profile in Mlasa.com the award winning actor was born and bred in Tembisa, Johannesburg. He joined a local Market theatre Laboratory in 2018, while studying at Market theatre he was casted on many productions. Scelo first receive his acting break on The Legacy, Babylon and as the lead actor on SABC1 Now or before landing on Mzansi Magic.
Besides acting, Sicelo has built himself a huge fan base through his TikTok videos. There is never a dull moment when watching his videos. The star is a good dancer. Miss South Africa and Universe 2020 Zozibini Tunzi once wrote on her Twitter page that she loves seeing Sicelo on Gomora.

Sicelo received the Outstanding Newcomer Award at the 4th Royalty Soapie Awards in 2020. Currently the actor has been rumoured to dating singer and former SA Idols season 14 contestant Nosipho Silinda. The two have been singer together in videos on TikTok and Instagram. Neither of them has confirmed or denied the rumours.
