Idols SA contestants

Just when we thought we were over R&B and the 90's the 2016 Idols SA contestants remind us yet again why we fell in love with the genre in the first place.

Now we won't waste any time by discussing each performance of the night but we personally have our Top 3 favorites.

Lucia Jakeni

Idols SA R&B

Lucia wooed us with her beautiful version of Faith Evans 1999 smash hit, Never Let You Go. We loved how Lucia simply took her time with this song and made it hers.

Randall Abrahams even agreed with his fellow judges about how great Lucia's performance was. What we appreciate about Lucia is how calm and collected she was during this performance, she truly made it her own and delivered the song with such poise and confidence. Although some may debate that Lucia is too calm, that calmness may

Terra Cox

Terra Cox

Can a record company out there please offer Terra a record deal already, this guy's level of talent is impeccable, you can tell that Terra is here to win and is taking no prisoners.

Terra is the underdog that will become the top dog down the line in this competition. Since that night he performed Maxwell's Bad Habit and obliterated the stage.

If the other contestants aren't careful, Terra might actually walk away with the title this year, but then again it's the votes that will make the final decision.

Valentine Mathe

Valentine Mathe

The girl shut it down!

Valentine reminded us once again why she deserves to be in this competition, Valentine left us absolutely speechless, we've always known her to be a strong performer but on Sunday night, Valentine let out her Sasha Fierce and we sure paid attention!

Randall's comment about Nosihe having a better voice than Valentine may be true but Valentine is undoubtedly the stronger performer.

If the votes are anything to go by, we'll definitely see Valentine until the last day of the competition.
