South African media personality, Somizi Mhlongo, publically thanked the legendary, Beyoncé Knowles and her mother, Tina, for paying tribute to his mother, Mary Twala. The mother-daughter duo acknowledged Mary’s death on social media, and showed their gratitude towards her for being a part of Black Is King.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, 5 August 2020, Somizi stated, “I’ have all the rights to brag about the queen that is my mother…. what a way to exit mother earth.” He thanked Beyoncé and Tina for showing his mother the respect she deserved following her death, and also whilst filming on set.
