Murdah Bongz “Responds” To Trolls

Bongani “Morda or Murdah Bongz” Mohosana is husband to DJ Zinhle and father of her second daughter Asante Mohosana. The two ZAlebs have a fairytale love story since coming out about dating and subsequently getting traditionally married back in 2022.

However, since the announcement of AKA’s passing, he is the father of DJ Zinhle’s eldest daughter Kairo Forbes. Bongani has been the site of trolling. Primarily, he was trolled as there were think pieces and comments on the manner in which DJ Zinhle was mourning for the father of her eldest daughter.

A fact which reached its peak during the recent memorial service for the late Hip-Hop legend.

Murdah Bongz “responds” to trolls

During the recent memorial service of AKA, DJ Zinhle broke the hearts of many of those that watched or were present during the memorial service. This is as she was recorded comforting a teary-eyed Kairo as Langa Mavuso performed.

While comforting her daughter, DJ Zinhle was also seen attempting to control her own tears. A fact which was hard to do considering that she was mourning the father of her eldest child and comforting a clearly distraught nine-year-old who was realising that she will never physically see her father again.

However, it seemed that many turned this emotional moment to drama as they questioned whether it was appropriate for Zinhle to mourn as she was. Moreover, there were suggestions that this proved that she was still in love with AKA and that Murdah should feel jealous or suspicious of his wife. As such, he responded via his Instagram stories.

This comes as he did not attend the memorial or funeral service as it was reported earlier in the week that:

DJ ZInhle has been a pillar to the Forbes family since the news was confirmed that AKA was late. As reported during the events of the following day:
While it seems that men of the Forbes family are currently in Durban in an attempt to find answers. DJ Zinhle, who shares daughter Kairo Forbes with AKA, seems to have taken the helm in Johannesburg as plans need to be made in terms of the funeral arrangements and memorial service.
DJ Zinhle arriving with “brother” Oskido were seen arriving at AKA’s Johannesburg complex. But more than just DJ Zinhe, her brothers, sisters and the Era by DJ ZInhle team were all recorded arriving at AKA’s private residency. Other ZAlebs include Kabelo Mabalane.
As such, it is assumed that DJ Zinhle is currently helping the Forbes family deal with the arrangements. This is as DJ ZInhle and AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes, have always had a strong relationship since DJ Zinhle was pregnant with Kairo [as] Lynn or Glammy stayed with Zinhle during the first few years of Kairo’s birth.

As Zinhle has been supportive and many have charged her husband, Bongani “Morda” Mohosana with being a supportive father figure to Kairo Forbes, it seems that he will not be attending the funeral. This is as the statement attributed the fact to “observing cultural protocol.”
