For two consecutive Valentine’s Days between 2021 and 2022, media personality Lerato Kganyago all but owned the special day of love in South Africa. Whether it was her husband booking the entire FNB Stadium, Zonke and her band, or the following year when he “gifted” her a boutique hotel, spa and restaurant.

However, as South Africans got excited about this year’s “Lerato Kganyago Day,” it seemed that Lerato was not into the pressure and decided to jet off to the USA to run away from the pressure. But it seems that was all a facade as Lerato has started to tease what exactly her husband did for her this Valentine’s Day.

Lerato finally shares what was her Valentine’s Day surprise

It all started when Lerato and hubby Thami Ndlala ditched the USA and travelled to Dubai to avoid loadshedding. Upon their arrival, Lerato teased her Valentine’s Day surprise by sharing an Instagram story. The story showed a trail of roses and she then tagged US R&B legend, Kenny Latimore, thanking him for her special Valentine’s Day.

However, as the star prepares to upload her second YouTube vlog of the year, she has finally teased more of what happened during Valentine’s Day. While she did not share the actual performance by the legend, she did share how she and hubby were all but happy following his intimate-for-two performance.

As such, it seems that as much as Kganyago does like the pressure of being the “face” of V-day in South Africa, her husband is more than willing to make sure she takes the crown every year. A fact which refutes her stance following having to deal with the pressure as reported:

Lerato Kganyago’s last word on Valentine’s Day

This past Lerato Kganyago Day or Valentine’s Day for the rest of the world, the Metro FM personality and her husband decided to be “lowkey.” This is if you consider being flown to the US, Los Angeles specifically, being spoiled with a luxury shopping spree and a stay at a mansion with a view of the entire city as lowkey.
As such, Kganyago took to Instagram to share her final word on the importance of Valentine’s Day and the intention with which it is meant to be celebrated. The star seemed to make it clear that despite the extravagant gifts she has received, that the holiday of love is about celebrating exactly that- love.

However, it seems that on WhatsApp she was less zen and more aggravated by having created the expectation that she is the face of the special day. This is as it seems that even her close circle expects Lerato to pull out all the stops, and when she does not they too badger her to show up and show off.
A fact which the personality has to address via her WhatsApp stories by making it clear that she will not succumb to the pressure and does not appreciate being pressured to be the face of Valentine’s Day.
