His 10-part reality series which will premiere on Showmax in November 2020, promises to give viewers a clear view of what the composer is about. He will be working on fixing his relationship with his eldest children, the death of his 9th child and will also detail how he overcame his alcohol addiction as he celebrates 15 years of sobriety.
According to Showmax he will be mending his broken relationship with four of his children, Zakiya, Nthabiseng and Refi who are currently based in the US, and his son who lives in the country. He too has become a father.
Speaking to Sowetan Live he explains how sceptical he was about doing a reality series but wanted to tell his story his way. “I was initially sceptical about a reality show, but having recently learnt no-one really knows who I really am in South Africa, my beloved home country of birth. I’ve become romantic about opening up and having my fans and audience here hang out with Angela and my children via this conversation in 10 episodes,” he explained.
After he and Mel split up, she told Sunday World that she was aware that Angela was back in his life, “The wedding was supposed to have happened this year but no, it didn’t happen. I thought he is back with Angela, what happened?”
