[Watch] DJ Zinhle Leans On Nadia Nakai For Support

Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane was the second victim of the assassination of friend Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. A fact which is sometimes overshadowed by the death of the legendary rapper. But it seems that the Forbes family including DJ ZInhle and Nadia Nakai still wanted to pay homage to Tibz.

As such, the entire clan showed a united front when they all went together to his memorial service which was held on Thursday, 16 February 2023. But it was the interaction between DJ Zinhle and Nadia Nakai that had many people feeling emotional.

DJ Zinhle leans on Nadia Nakai for support

DJ Zinhle has been supportive of Nadia Nakai ever since it was confirmed that AKA was late. A fact which earned her kudos from the general public. As such, it was presumed that DJ Zinhle was the anchor carrying the weight of losing the father of her eldest child and ensuring the memorial and funeral service go off without a hitch.

However, DJ Zinhle did showcase that she was actually in mourning as she broke down into a fit of tears during the Tibz memorial service. As such, it seemed that she leaned on Nadia Nakai for emotional support as they walked out of the memorial together.

Nadia on the other hand, was strong. A fact which she has showcased throughout her public appearances since the passing of AKA. The rapper and last partner to AKA has been strong throughout as she has not been seen crying in public but supporting the Forbes family and now DJ Zinhle.

Back when the matter of AKA’s death was unfathomable, Nadia showered DJ Zinhle with flowers on how she welcomed her into the co-parenting relationship when things got serious with AKA. At the time, the matter was reported as:

Nadia Nakai has made it clear on numerous occasions that she and her boyfriend’s baby mama, DJ Zinhle are on good terms. During the very beginning of her and AKA’s relationship, Nadia and DJ Zinhle faced scrutiny from the public who slammed them for showing love towards each other, arguing that it is not genuine.

Just recently, she and her baby daddy AKA went on vacation with each other’s families. During the vacation, Nadia Nakai told OKMzansi that she has and always looked up to DJ Zinhle, even before both of them got involved with AKA.
“I’ve always respected her as an artist, as a mom, as a businesswoman. She’s somebody that I look up to and I’ve always looked up to even after Kiernan…So walking into this situation she really made me feel comfortable. I did not feel that weird energy from her like, ‘Oh my gosh, I don’t like being around you,’ she told the blog.
“She really embraced me which then also made me become comfortable. Kiernan set the precedent for both of us to make me feel comfortable as his girlfriend and not make me feel weirded out by my situation. He really was cognizant in making sure I feel comfortable,” she added.
