Dawn Thandeka King Addresses Pregnancy Rumours

Uzalo and Lockdown actress Dawn Thandeka King has finally broken her silence and addressed all those pregnancy rumours. This came less than 24 hours after she uploaded a snap of herself and her bae on the gram. In the picture, her tummy looked slightly bigger than usual. This led many of her fans and followers to believe that there is a bun in the oven.

This morning, the award-winning actress saw it fitting to let her fans in on what is really happening. “All I am expecting is Joy, Peace and Wealth…..” She shared. Slamming all those rumours and saying in simpler terms that she is just an Africa Woman, that’s all. There is no bun in anyone’s oven. “What you see is a voluptuous, African Woman.”

King is an actress, musician and motivational speaker. She’s originally from the small town of Eshowe in KwaZulu-Natal.

She’s a mother to five children and was married to businessman Jabulani Msomi for 15 years before they separated a few years back.  She completed her high school and tertiary studies in Durban. She holds a qualification in drama studies. It took many years before she officially got into the industry. Her breakthrough role was on Inkaba in 2012. Before then she used to work in the tourism industry.

This was followed by her role as Lindiwe Xuluon SABC 1’s highest watched drama Uzalo. Her character has resonated with many of the show’s viewers and she’s received countless praises for her work. She’s also popular for portraying Mazet on Mzansi Magic and Showmax’ Lockdown. Her lead performance on Lockdown has won her an award for Best Actress in a lead role in a TV Drama.

At the beginning of this month, the actress celebrated her 43rd birthday. She spent the day with her loved ones.
