What’s an award show without a little drama? Kelly Khumalo reportedly pulled a violent stunt at the 2015 Metro FM Music Awards which took place in Durban on Saturday evening.
The singer allegedly attacked her rumoured fiancé, KZN herbalist Zamokuhle “Bhaka” Nzama. According to Sunday Sun, Bhaka almost lost his eye after Kelly used her nail to poke him.
The paper reported that the rumoured lovers were in Kelly’s room when the incident happened. A source told the paper: “Bhaka was sitting with her and a verbal confrontation took place which lead to her losing it.” The Asine singer is said to have snapped, revealing a different side of herself to Bhaka.

The herbalist reportedly sought medical assistance and has not lost his eye thankfully. “He was not able to close it after Kelly pounced on him,” the source told Sunday Sun.
Kelly reportedly attended the awards after the incident, leaving Bhaka to take care of his injury. Sunday Sun could not be reached for comment, while Bhaka confirmed the incident to the paper. “Yes Kelly poked my eye using her nail. I have seen a doctor and although at the moment I cannot open my eye I am at currently at home recovering.”
Yoh! This is really shocking. Just when we thought Kelly was getting her life together, something like this happens. Things were starting to look up for her, she has a UK tour coming up and her album is doing really well.
And, she’s started opening up about Senzo Meyiwa’s death. In a recent interview Kelly made it clear that she had nothing to do with the late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper’s death. She added: “My conscience is clear. I have nothing to worry about. People close to me know how much I loved Senzo and still love him and wouldn’t do anything to harm him in any way.”
