In case you missed it, the Miss South Africa pageant was held on Sunday and the crown has gone to a 21-year old interior architecture student Marilyn Ramos.
Marilyn has promised to use her status as the country’s most beautiful woman to strengthen the relationship between SA’s youth and the elderly. “I feel that the youth has a lot to learn from the elderly, and the seniors deserve the affection, compassion and respect of the youth.”
Ramos, who’s from Pretoria, says she will encourage young people to volunteer at old-age homes.
Last year’s Miss SA winner, Melinda Bam, is in Vegas taking part in the Miss Universe contest.
