Queen Sono has received sizzling reviews from viewers locally and internationally and star of the show, Pearl Thusi believes that it could be the key needed to open up the industry.

The popular #OpenUpTheIndustry started gaining momentum when people started noticing how talent is recycled in the South African entertainment industry.

Pearl Thusi was also caught up in the debate, as some also believed in light skin, pretty privilege, also gets people in the industry with zero talent.

The actress is on cloud 9 over the positive feedback she received for Queen Sono, however fans are disappointed at the small number of episodes the series has.

With just 6 episodes, fans are calling for more or better yet, a new season. Pearl encouraged fans to get more people to subscribe to Netflix and watch the show. This will help in getting more episodes and seasons produced.
