Bonang Matheba is undoubtedly one of South Africa’s biggest star.
Her half sister, Reabetswe Sechoaro, clearly understands this and that’s why she doesn’t want to use Bonang’s fame to build a career for herself.
Speaking to Drum, the former Miss South Africa 2016 contestant and Accounting Sciences student said: “I want to build my own brand and I never want to get jobs because of my half sister. I do, however, look up to her and respect her work ethic.”
She explained that Bonang gave her a few tips on having a thick skin to survive in the industry. “And I have learnt a lot from her success.”
She said the Miss SA platform and new-found celebrity status has given her the chance to talk about Bonang’s influence and insists that she’s passionate about things like modelling, children, and being a businesswoman.
