This past weekend, thousands of South Africans attended the Global Citizen Festival which was hosted by the Motsepe Foundation to help eradicate poverty in the world.
The star-studded event was headlined by some of the world’s biggest artists including Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams and Wizkid. Oprah Winfrey was one of the speakers on the programme and we have come to learn that her yellow beaded dress was designed by our very own designer, Gert-Johan Coetzee. Taking to Instagram, Gert excitedly shared the news.
“It was such an honour to have Ms Winfrey at my studios,” he wrote. Take a look at the snaps below:
Oprah is not the only star who was dressed by Gert on Sunday. Nigerian superstar, Tiwa Savage was also dressed by the talented designer for her performance.
Some of Mzansi’s biggest stars including Bonang Matheba and Minnie Dlamini have been dressed by the renowned designer.
