Upon seeing that post, his friends reportedly paid him a visit just to check up on Zola. According to Daily Sun, artists such as Mapaputsi and others had thought they would find the star ‘bedridden’ and really sick. However, much to their surprise, they breathed a huge sigh of relief when they found their friend enthusiastic and talkative – just the way they know him.
This past Sunday, City Press ran with the story that the Stars hit-maker was ill once again. This time, however, the publication reported that his management team has started a crowdfunding initiative to help pay for his medical bills.
But, in recent reports, The Citizen contacted Zola’s PA, Siki Kunene, rubbished these claims.
“We honestly don’t know where these rumours started. He is not in a hospital, he is perfectly fine at his home,” Kunene said.
Addressing claims that he needs donations for his medical bills, she said: “This is absolute rubbish. In fact, the management pays for his medical bills and send the medication to him.”
Zola 7, himself, also spoke to the publication and explained that reports of his hospitalisation were untrue. “No such a thing,” he said. He further stated that the original article is true however the crowdfunding is false.
“I lost a lot of weight over the past year. I was extremely sick, I was home and I was shaking. Everybody around me was scared I was going to die. I couldn’t eat well. I was eating Mageu, porridge and Fish.
