Zikhona Sodlaka was arrested for physically assaulting her landlord – allegedly after refusing to pay rent.
The showdown allegedly happened at Zikhona’s apartment in Northcliff last year November. This was after the landlord, known as Ms BJ MacDonald demanded that the actress pay up her rent. Allegedly, the back and forth resulted in Zikhona “grabbing and pushing” her landlord out of her apartment.
In an article by Sunday Sun, it was further reported that Zikhona moved in the apartment without the knowledge of the landlord. It is not clear whether the deal was possibly struck “on the down low” with the previous tenant or not.
Upon contact with Zikhona Sodlaka, the 34 year old declined to comment.
Police spokesperson, Mavela Masondo confirmed the following to the publication:
“I can confirm that cases of common assault and theft were opened for investigation.”
