They were once dubbed “besties” in the South African music industry. Mzansi enjoyed seeing them together and their bromance had many on envy mode, however when they were alleged to be beefing many were left disappointed that they will no longer see their favorite duo together.
Zakes Bantwini and Black Coffee, were very tight-knit but seemingly the pair is still not seeing eye to eye even today, this is apparently due to some industry politics after working together. Last night Zakes had an interview with Tha Simelane on Instagram Live. When Tha asked him about how their relationship with Black Coffee is, he simply said he is fine with him.
When asked why he was not invited to Black Coffee’s star-studded brunch early this year, he said it was an “invitation problem”. The musician said when the time comes for them to work together they will.
Although fans felt like his response wasn’t enough to shed more light on whether they are on speaking terms or not, Zakes did not divulge much.
