Adv Malesela Teffo Alleges Kelly Khumalo Shot Senzo By Mistake

The murder trial of five men accused of murdering former Orlando Pirates goalminder Senzo Meyiwa, continues to take a shocking twist. Recent developments have left many people shooketh to the core as Kelly Khumalo has allegedly been linked to the murder.

The songstress is accused of allegedly pulling the trigger that claimed the life of her then boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa.

These explosive submissions were divulged by Adv Malesela Tefffo, who is representing four of the five accused men in the Senzo Meyiwa trial. According to the defense lawyer, there will be a witness who will testify in court that Kelly allegedly shot Senzo by mistake with the revolver that was allegedly associated with Longwe Twala.

Teffo finished the cross-examination of Sergeant Thabo Mosia, the first witness for the state and a police forensic officer. Giving his own version of events this morning, he claimed Senzo was not killed by intruders who allegedly entered Kelly Khumalo’s mother’s home in Vosloorus as it has been reported.

“I put it to you that … an eyewitness will testify that Senzo Robert Meyiwa was allegedly shot by Nonhlanhla Kelly Khumalo by mistake as it is alleged” claimed Teffo.

He added “The same eyewitness will further testify that the firearm used to shoot Senzo Robert Meyiwa by Kelly Khumalo came with Longwe Twala, and that firearm was a revolver,” he said.

Teffo said yesterday that Meyiwa’s body was removed from the crime scene to conceal the police’s blunder in their investigation. He claimed that the soccer star died on the scene, and alleged that when he was transported to the hospital, they were going to dump his body at the mortuary.

“The same eyewitness will say all these efforts of removing the body from the scene … to the hospital is all about the furtherance of concealment of the murder of Senzo Robert Meyiwa, by dumping him at Botshelong hospital,” Teffo said.

Meyiwa was murdered in 2014 at his then girlfriend and baby mama Kelly Khumalo’s mother’s home in Vosloorus on the East Rand. Initially, it was reported that Meyiwa was shot and killed during a botched robbery. However, it was later reported that his assassination was a contract hit rather than a robbery gone wrong.

In an interview with 702 on Afternoons with Relebogile Mabotja, Kelly said when the timing is perfect, the world will hear her voice. “The noise is external and has absolutely nothing to do with me. When I’m needed and when the time is right, the world will hear my voice. They will not hear my voice when they feel they should,” she said.

“Whatever feelings they have towards me. I feel like it’s a projection because this is not the only case that has been a failure when it comes to the justice system.”

“For some reason, because there’s Kelly Khumalo involved, we want to make it something peculiar, something that is different, something that has never happened before.
