Our introduction to Dumi was through his music when he auditioned for Idols SA back in 2012.
However, his interest for acting briefly superseded his love for singing, when he began acting on Rhythm City.
Although he was mostly in front of our TV his love for music didn’t take a complete back seat as he continued to release singles like Shona Phantsi.
Just recently, Rhythm City released a never heard before song by Dumi titled Ungasabi (Don’t be scared) which he apparently wrote for Rhythm City and we must add it truly is a beautiful song, listen below.
Dumi’s family has also confirmed that his memorial will take place on Wednesday, 9 August at Hope Restoration Ministries, Kempton Park. at 14:00pm.
After the news of Dumi’s passing broke, Rhythm City immediately paused all production proceedings in honour of the late singer and actor.
