Talented Skeem Saam actor Buhle Maseko has opened up about the criticism he has endured following his weight gain. The actor who shot fame when he bagged the character of Nimza Kunutu on the show told Daily Sun that he had to choose a healthy lifestyle because people used to make rude comments about his weight.

“Because of the pressures of showbiz and me being in a top show, people used to make rude comments about my weight.”I’ve now decided to change my image and live a healthy lifestyle,” he said.
The actor said he has decided to shed some fat to avoid being depressed.
“I decided to do something because I don’t want it to depress me.”
It is no secret that weight gain can cause headaches to an entertainer especially if brands do not want to work with you due to your weight.
The actor says he also decided to lose weight because he wants to secure more gigs. Buhle now weighs 68kg from 99kg and he says he still hopes to lose more weight.
