Zinhle Jiyane is a well-known South African DJ, media personality and business woman who is also loved for her sense of style.

DJ Zinhle was born Ntombezinhle Jiyane, on December 30, 1983 in Dannhauser, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. She has three siblings.

Zinhle has a 3 year old daughter by the name of Kairo Forbes, she was born in July 2015, rapper, AKA is Kairo’s father.

At first, DJ Zinhle and AKA attempted to keep their relationship private from the public and media, but after much speculation and being spotted together a number of times during the years 2014 & 2015 the couple eventually went public about their relationships. In an interview, DJ Zinhle mentioned that people were starting to be too focused on who she’s dating, what she’s wearing and where she was spotted that she and AKA eventually decided to go public about their relationship.

It is not known how long the couple had been dating but rumour has it that they dated for about five years until their ugly break up in 2015 when DJ Zinhle revealed in her personal blog that AKA had been cheating on her with media-darling Bonang.

“A week before our daughter was born, I found out about an affair between Kiernan (the father of my child) and Bonang Matheba. I also received confirmation of all rumours through an honest conversation which I had with Kiernan [also known as AKA], who confirmed that the affair had been going on for over 5 months,” she wrote on the blog.

For a brief period the two did not get along and had engaged in a war of words on social media. However, all of that is water under the bridge now.

In late 2018 and early 2019 fans of both DJ Zinhle and AKA speculated that the two had gotten back with each other after the two had spent some time with each other in Cape Town in November 2018. Fans became even more curious when the two went on a vacation together in January 2019.

Although the two tried to hide each others identity on social media whilst on the vacation, the media and public were just too slick and look at all the nitty gritty details of their vacation. A video released on social media eventually confirmed that they were together at the vacation. 

However the two have remained mum about their supposed reunion.

In 2016, DJ Zinhle started dating businessman – Brendon Naidoo a year after her break up from AKA. The two enjoyed a rather quiet relationship which turned to be quite public as DJ Zinhle’s fans expressed approval of Brendon as they could see how happy he made her.

Unfortunately, their relationship did not last long. After news came out that Brendon was arrested for fraud, the two seemingly grew distant from each other, although they did not mention that they had broken up the two stopped posting pictures of each other on social media. Until now, it is still not known if the two are even on speaking terms.

Despite all the interest in her private life, Zinhle has enjoyed a career in entertainment and business that has seen her not only DJ but also create a lucrative business for her legacy.

One of those business ventures was the establishment of DJ Zinhle’s watches popularly known as Era by DJ Zinhle.

Not only that but DJ Zinhle has had the pleasure of appearing on a number of television adverts and television shows.

Her most popular television show titlec – It Takes a Village sees Zinhle actively participating in helping the youth of her home town of Dannhausser (in Kwa-Zulu Natal).

Zinhle is also a well-known brand ambassador and has aligned herself with a number of brands in the past.

She’s also appeared on a number of magazine covers and was crowned as Africa’s top female DJ by DJane Mag in 2018.

Apart from her career achievements DJ Zinhle is also admired for her sense of style as she’s always seen wearing the latest designer clothes and hand bags
